After launching Bing last month, Microsoft finally forged ahead its planned partnership.
The two second-best search engines –Bing and Yahoo! – joined together intimidating the world’s search giant, Google.
Published on Yahoo! news, Microsoft and Yahoo will have a 10-year pact expected to close by early 2010. Yahoo’s CEO Carol Bartz blogged saying: “Under the terms, Microsoft will become the search engine behind Yahoo! and we (Yahoo!) will become the worldwide exclusive relationship sales force for both companies’ premium search advertisers.”
Though this move is great both for Microsoft and Yahoo, their combined market share still lopsided from the 70% Google’s market share. I am sure Google will not take this “Microsoft and Yahoo’s partnership” for granted. Then, what would Google do? The previously announced launching of Google Chrome OS to ruin Microsoft’s Windows? Well, no one knows it yet…
