I am not really sure if this is really the first free internet TV service here in the Philippines.
But anyway, this is good news for every Filipino who spends more time on the internet.

Watch ABS-CBN Shows Online Streaming

The Philippine Long Distance Telephone (PLDT) Co. is now offering a free internet service to its PLDT myDSL subscribers. The PLDT myDSL Watchpad, allows PLDT subscribers to watch TV channels online! This is an exclusive service to subscribers of Plan 999, Plan 1995, Plan 3000, and up.

Currently, PLDT myDSLPLDT Watchpadhas to offer eight TV Channels which include GMA, MTV, Pinoy Box Office, CNBC, GO, VOOM, CNN, and Carton Network. More channels is to be added soon as Jet Herna, PLDT myDSL senior manager for product development, said that they are planning to increase the number of TV channels to 15 and eventually to 25.

The content provider of PLDT myDSL Watchpad is Mediascape.

If you are one of the current 500,000 PLDT myDSL subscribers, then you might be interested of joining the 3,000 subscribers who have already registered on this free internet service. Just logon to pldtwatchpad.com.
