Opera 10.50 Beta Released: Claimed as Fastest Browser on Earth

The latest beta version of the web browser from Opera Software has already been released. Opera 10.50 is claimed to qualify as “The Fastest Browser on the Earth”.
This is based on a comparison of the performance tests results between other top web browsers.

Joseph D. Lien, posted in a blog, that the new Carakan JavaScript engine and the browser’s Vega graphics library offer an impressive performance and powers the new Opera version up to 8x faster than its predecessor.

Opera 10.50Take a look at the test result below in which the Opera 10.50 Beta was tested on a 2.33GHz Intel Core 2 Duo system with 4GB RAM running 32-bit Windows 7.

Web Browser ComparisonThe JavaScript Performance Testing engines used were Sunspider, Peacekeeper, Dromaeo, and V8.

Other features of Opera 10.50 include Smarter address field, New private browsing, Windows integration, Improved dialogs for better browsing, and New Opera Widgets. You can download Opera 10.50 and also check out the details of each feature here.
