For on-site SEO of Blogger blogs, it’s important that you consider the use of Meta tags.
Meta tags are just small pieces of codes added to HTML code of your blog which describes some aspect of the contents of the web page. These codes are being used by search engines to identify the most relevant website that contains the information to be displayed on the SERPs based from what a user is searching.

There are lots of Meta tags actually, but the most important according to some experts are just the keywords Meta tag and the description Meta tag. Here I’m going to teach you how to add these tags in your blogger blog, including the author tag.

1. Look for this line of codes:

<b:include data=’blog’ name=’all-head-content’/>

2. Add the following codes just below the line of code you find in number 1.

<meta content=’DESCRIPTION HERE‘ name=’description’/>
<meta content=’KEYWORDS HERE‘ name=’keywords’/>
<meta content=’AUTHOR NAME HERE‘ name=’author’/>

3. Change the items highlighted in blue as indicated below:

DESCRIPTION HERE: Write about the description of your blog
KEYWORDS: Write about your targeted keywords (just limit the number of keywords to avoid stuffing)
AUTHOR NAME: You can write your name here as author

Part of  your website HTML code will then looks like this:

4. Save your template.

Now your blog will become more search engine- friendly!
