YouTube Turns 9 Today, Watch the First 5 Videos ever Uploaded on the Popular Video Sharing Site

Officially speaking, Youtube was founded on February 14, 2005 by Chad Hurley, Steve Chen, and Jawed Karim — early employees of PayPal. According to Karim, the concept was inspired by two incidents. First was the whole Janet Jackson 2004 Superbowl scandal, when the American recording artist and actress had a wardrobe malfunction, exposing her breasts. The second incident was also back in the same year, when a Tsunami caused by the Indian Ocean Earthquake mainly struck Sumatra, Indonesia. Karim said that videos related to these incidents were hard to find online back then, thus the idea of putting up a video sharing site of their own, YouTube.

Today marks the 9th birthday of the first ever video uploaded on the popular video sharing site. The video was uploaded exactly last 8:27 pm of April 23, 2005. Watch the video, as well as the other first four videos uploaded on Youtube.

Uber comes to Manila; Here’s a First Hand Experience with the Premium Car service

Uber is a venture-funded transportation company that started in San Francisco, USA back in 2012. The premium car service has been secretly roaming the streets of Metro Manila since December of last year, and we here at CebuTechBlogger.com got a first hand experience.

UberManila

First off, the service is somehow like Grab-a-Taxi, where in you need to download the app, which is free by the way, from the Apple AppStore or from Google Play to book a car. After downloading the app, you just first need to configure your profile by entering your basic information, as well as saving your credit or debit card, as Uber does not support cash payments. Once you’re done with this, you are all set into booking your very own private car service.
