Easy Taxi, the world’s largest taxi booking app, formally opened it’s doors in Metro Cebu today, September 19, 2014, followed by a ribbon cutting ceremony held at the Ayala Center Cebu Level 1 Expansion Building headed by Mr. Daniel Torres, Easy Taxi’s CEO for Philippine Operations.
“While Easy Taxi has begun penetrating Cebu earlier this year we are now shifting our gears full blast for aggressive expansion in the Queen City of the South,” said Mr. Daniel Torres.
Together with the official launch is Easy Taxi’s announcement of their exclusive partnership with Ayala Center Cebu. With this partnership, Easy Taxi and Ayala Center Cebu opened an E-Taxi booking service concierge booth inside the mall that passengers can easily use to book an Easy Taxi ride for free, until October 4. A Php 30 charge will then be asked from passengers availing of the service then after.
“We put a premium on safety reliability and convenience hence, we are going out of our way to bring the one of a kind e-Taxi booking concierge in Ayala Center Cebu,” said Mr. Torres.
Easy Taxi also announced their partnership with the Land Transportation Franchise Regulatory Board (LTFRB) in support for the agency’s advocacy in promoting public transportation passenger safety, especially for women passengers.
In lieu on focusing on passenger safety, Easy Taxi also partnered with the leading and most trusted taxi operators in Cebu, namely: Saregen Taxi, 6Sense Taxi, Airland Taxi, VNM Taxi, Sun Taxi, Michaela Taxi, Mike Taxi and Green Planet Taxi, to name a few. These taxi operators screen their drivers to make sure that they qualify and meet Easy Taxi world-class standards.
Easi Taxi drivers are now guided by Waze, a navigation app that helps everyone using the service get to their destination quicker and safer through user submitted traffic reports, as well as accident and hazards on the road. With Waze, rides are safer, all thanks to the app’s ability to block drivers from texting and driving by enabling in-app voice guided navigation and command features.
Finally, Easy Taxi has also partnered with Smart Communications in rolling out Zero Data plans for it’s drivers–bringing full synergies to the table.
With all of these, we here in Cebu can now take commutes heading home, go to work or go wherever we want without having to worry about our safety, thanks to Easy Taxi.
