Samsung Philippines will officially launch one of its latest tablets this year, the Samsung GALAXY Tab 7.0 Plus.

Samsung GALAXY Tab 7.0 Plus, which is an upgrade to Sammy’s first 7-incher tablet will retail here in the Philippines with a SRP of Php 23,990. Expected release date would be on Monday Sunday, December 18th.

You might be wondering what exactly that “Plus” means, but I think it’s because of the boost in hardware and an upgrade in software as well. Compared to its predecessor, this slate boasts a very much faster dual-core processor ticking at 1.2GHz. While flaunting the same 7-inch display than its older brother, the GALAXY Tab 7.0 Plus is actually now using the evolved Plane-to-Line Switching (PLS) screen technology that is said to offer better graphics/image quality. It got a refined Android experience as it carries the Honeycomb version of the OS, and of course it also carries the latest version of Samsung’s TouchWiz UI and Samsung Hubs services.

Another significant enhancements made to this tablet as far as comparison to the first-gen Samsung tablet is concerned include the RAM (now at 1GB), the front-facing camera (now 2MP), and wireless connectivity options. GALAXY Tab 7.0 Plus already supports HSPA+ networks (21Mbps) and its Wi-Fi capability has also been enhanced with what Sammy called as Wi-Fi Channel Bonding that let users receive data rates approximately twice as fast as existing Wi-Fi.
