In the ensuing competition that gadget makers face every day, Samsung may have gained a foothold in the electronics market yet again; as rumors recently gone viral with their offer of a bundled product which includes the Galaxy Tab 3 and their in-house designed GamePad. Just to be clear both the GamePad and the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 have been around for quite some time now; however, this is the first time that they’re being offered in a bundled promo.
This caused some of us to speculate whether or not Samsung will give the Tab 3 a special upgrade since this bundle is said to be game oriented and according to its specifications it only has a Dual-core 1.2 GHz processor, which may not be enough for high-end gaming.
So far Samsung hasn’t put out a price tag for their bundled products, but individually the SRP for them would total $369 (the GamePad is $80, the HDMI adapter is roughly $40 and the Galaxy Tab 3 is around $249). Incidentally, the HDMI adapter is able to hold 4 to 6.3 inches wide devices and is compatible with any device that has the Android Jellybean OS or higher. Performance-wise, buying these parts separately is more efficient, for instance some of Samsung’s devices now have the Exynos quad core processor which makes a better gaming platform than the Tab 3. Still there’s no telling whether Samsung will tinker the price or the specs in this bundle promo offer.
Last week’s announcement indicated that Samsung intended the bundled product to be sold exclusively for European consumers only; however, since the announcement itself is incomplete so the company’s decision might change. Stay tuned for more details.
