Blackberry has been on a downward spiral fall after a not-so impressive sales of the Z10, Q10, Q5 and the Z30. They even went as far as firing their so-called “Global Creative Director” Alicia Keys. But, things may be looking good for the Canadian smartphone maker, as they have been reportedly working on a line of devices with high end features that can bring them back to the top spot, if released at the right time.
First is the rumored Blackberry Ontario, with a couple of impressive specs detailed on a leaked benchmark. The phone is said to be sporting a Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 800 quad core processor with 2 GB of RAM, running on Blackberry OS 10.3.
Two more devices are said to be sporting the same quad core chip: the all-touch device B-series and the W-series sporting a QWERTY keyboard, a hardware feature that will make loyal Blackberry fans very delighted.
There will also be another Blackberry device said to be in the works that will surely give every other smartphone manufacturer a run for their money if released real soon–a device running on a 64-bit octa core chip, the Snapdragon MSM8994.
The MSM8994 is said to be clocked at 2.5GHz per core, with an L2 cache at 4 MB. The chip also features a 1600MHz 4GB RAM LPDDR3 PoP, Adreno 430 GPU at 500 MHz, Pixel fill Rate of 6Gpix/ s, Vertex 500Mtri / s and OpenGL ES3.0, direct x11.1, OpenCL1.2.
