ABS-CBN is widely known as the country’s largest entertainment company, conquering almost all sorts of media venues and formats — TV, Film, Music, Online, Print and Radio. Yesterday, the company launched an all new service that is spear-heading Digital TV service in the country — the ABS-CBN TV Plus.
The official launch and ceremonial switch-on of the Lopez-owned Digital TV service commenced yesterday, headed by ABS-CBN Chairman Eugenio “Gabby” Lopez III and ABS-CBN president and CEO Charo Santos-Concio. The Digital TV service, marketed by ABS-CBN as “Ang Mahiwagang Black Box” is basically just like any other digital TV box used by most Cable TV providers not just in the country, but across the globe.
Available for a one-time payment of just Php 2,500, the ABS-CBN TV Plus brings digital versions of Philippine TV Free-to-Air channels including ABS-CBN and ABS-CBN Sports and Action Channel. And yes, the one-time payment means there’s no recurring subscription and/or monthly fees to enjoy clear picture and sound on your regular TV.
On top of all the free-to-air channels, ABS-CBN TV Plus also comes with four (4) additional exclusive channels for free: DZMM Teleradyo, an all-day news and current affairs channel; CineMo, an all-day movie channel; Yey, an all-day kids entertainment channel and Knowledge Channel, an informative and educational channel.
Each ABS-CBN TV Plus black box comes with an ABS-CBN Mobile Prepaid Sim Card with P50.00 load that users can use for call, text and their other services.
Currently, the service is available for 11 areas where Digital TV content is available, including Metro Manila, Rizal, Cavite, Laguna, Bulacan, Pampanga, Nueva Ecija, Tarlac, Pangasinan, Benguet and Metro Cebu.
