Archos outs quad core 80 Helium 4G tablet, 50c Oxygen and 2 more smartphones in a Press Release ahead of 2014 MWC launch

In a press release dated February 20, 2014, the French consumer electronic company Archos officially announced a quad core 4G tablet in the name of the Archos 80 Helium, among 3 more smartphones four days ahead of their official 2014 MWC launch, happening in Barcelona, Spain.

Originally unveiled during the CES 2014 last month, the Archos 80 Helium tablet will be launched officially in just four days. The tablet features an 8 inch IPS touch display powered by a quad core processor bundled with 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of expandable storage. There’s also a 5 megapixel BSI main camera with LED flash, a 2 megapixel front facing camera, LTE support, Android JellyBean 4.3 and a Li-ion 3500 mAh battery.

The Archos 80 Helium 4G tablet will carry a price tag of £230 or about Php 17k when it hits the shelves, soon.

As for the three smartphones mentioned in the same Press Release, the Archos 50c Oxygen is a sure stand out, as it packs MediaTek’s Octa-core processor, a 5 inch IPS display and an 8 megapixel BSI camera. The Archos 64 Xenon on the other hand is still worth checking out, featuring an 8 megapixel BSI camera and a glorious 6.4 inch IPS touch display powered by MediaTek’s quad core processor. Finally, there’s the Archos 40b Titanium, featuring a 5 megapixel BSI camera and a 4 inch IPS display running on a dual core processor.

The both the 50c Oxygen and the 64 Xenon are priced at £200 or about under Php 15k, while the 40b Titanium carries a price tag of £100 or around Php 7.5k.
