AyosDito.ph to Cease Operations following OLX Merger

AyosDito.ph to Cease Operations following OLX Merger

In a rather surprising news, OLX Philippines is bound to dominate the Online Classified Ads network in the country come 2015, once the merger between four companies namely Naspers, Schibsted Media Group, Telenor Group, and Singapore Press Holdings (SPH) gets the green flag from the European Commission, putting end in their rivalry. With this merger, Brazil, Indonesia, Thailand, the Philippines, and Bangladesh will be affected.

In the country, AyosDito.ph is owned by Singapore Press Holdings, while OLX.ph is owned by Naspers.

What this means for the Philippines is that once the merger is a done deal, AyosDito.ph will cease operations while transferring all their site traffic, apps, and users to OLX.ph, giving the latter a complete dominance in the Philippine Online Classified Ads network, as the only remaining competitors will mainly be Tipid PC and eBay Philippines.

But until the merger is complete, it’ll stay business as usual for both AyosDito.ph and OLX.ph.

I believe AYOS and OLX will remain the same with their different platforms based on the announcement. They will be sharing their user-base on this merger and wont likely be any changes at all.

I am an online seller myself, so I have good presence on these websites (both OLX and AYOS) in addition to mybenta.com.

I am not happy with the merger because I like ayosdito more than olx.ph. My ads are approved fast in ayosdito but in olx my ads never approve even a single ad.

and now I have found a good alternative, try pwedeyan. All ads are processed in just seconds. No hassle and I’m starting to put all my ads there.
