Every now and then, different mobile brands unveils a new rugged phone. Bullit Group, a United Kingdom based consumer electronics brand, in partnership with Caterpillar Inc., or globally known as CAT, introduced a new super rugged feature phone–the CAT B100.
Bearing the CAT logo at the back and the company’s trademark colors Yellow and Black, the CAT B100 phone weighs at about 136 grams and features both IP67 and military grade MIL 810G certifications. This means that the phone can withstand a 1.8 meter drop, can be operated during extreme temperatures ranging from -25C to 55C, as well as being submerged in a 1 meter deep water for 30 minutes, thanks to the phone’s covered ports.
Alongside with these rugged features, it also sports a 2.2 inch ( 240 x 320 pixels ) standard display, a 3 megapixel camera, a MediaTek 6276W processor, 3G connectivity, 64 or 128 MB internal memory expandable via a microSD slot and a 1150 mAh battery that promises a 10 hour talk time.
This rugged phone is available starting today in the European market and will reach other markets across the globe in the coming months. We’ll keep you posted as soon as we learned it will land in Philippines as well.
