Convergys to Acquire Stream Global Solutions for $820Million

Convergys, the leading global customer management solutions company (and is the second most top earning BPO company in the country) is reported to be acquiring one of its rival companies, Stream Global Services Inc., for a whooping $820 Million (or Php 35.26 billion) in cash from their private equity owners, making it the largest deal the company has ever made.

Reports on this acquisition caused a 20 percent rise for Convergys’ shares at $24.26 in extended trading after closing at $20.86 last Monday on the New York Stock Exchange, and is expected to bring a $0.35 increase in the earnings-per-share in the first year after sealing the deal, together with more than $3 billion of estimated shared revenue.

Currently, Convergys’ top gun roster of clients includes (but not limited to) AT&T, Comcast Corp and DirectTV, and with the Stream Global Services acquisition, HP,  Microsoft Corp., Dell Inc., Western Digital and Nike among others will be included into this list. [via]
