The Windows 7 RC is near to end this June 1, and some users have already upgraded to the full version of the OS.
Some were able to crack the software or bypass the authentication using Windows 7 Keygens, but I’m sure Microsoft will release another update soon that will map such authentication holes.
To those who have already moved to the final version, you can now download Windows 7 Service Pack 1 Beta 1 as it has been leaked to the internet. The service pack will also work for Windows Server 2008 R2. The leaked Windows 7 SP1 Beta 1 has the build version of 6.1.7601.16537 v.153, and has the full build string of 6.1.7601.16537.amd64fre.win7.100327-0053 (for 64-bit Windows 7 and Windows Server 20008 R2). This service pack appears to be genuine and valid, and is meant for early beta testing.
Remember that this is an evaluation copy of Windows 7 SP1, so download and install with extra care. There’s no confirmation yet if Microsoft will allow direct upgrade from Windows 7 SP1 Beta 1 to Windows 7 SP1 Final Release.
