  1. Nice.. I’m currently running the developer Preview.. I’ll shift to this one as soon as i download it.. Thanks for the heads up Bert..

    1. This OS looks great! I guess I have to build another PC dedicated only for Windows 8… 🙂

  2.  Wow!..it’s been a short period of time for windows 7 since windows 8 is born but i wonder why most companies are still using windows xp..i’m not yet having good time exploring 7, then windows 8 is now for available for us, i’m getting late for this upgrade stuff but I think I need that most…Thanks Bert,..will try downloading it not but this time, maybe soon if you have some more update I can read on about windows 8 in your post… Thanks!

  3. I’m now using this OS on my 3-year-old netbook (MSI Wind U100) with 2 GB RAM and it works smoothly. Boot time is less than a minute. Only issue I see as of this time is that in the All Apps page, they ought to put an option to minimize/hide an application’s files instead of displaying all of them, it takes space and time to scroll through them especially if you already have lots of applications. For netbooks, your 1024×600 resolution is a bit low for the OS’s requirements so some apps on the start page will not run and it’ll remind you of the low-res issue. Other than that, this is an awesome upgrade from Win 7…

    1. Oh, I was even surprised you got Windows 8 running smoothly in your netbook… Did you install this from scratch or with Windows 7 already installed? Great experience you shared from there, @google-6e0ed2112fedfee4ce2c17652e18bd9f:disqus ! 🙂
