Spams virally spreading on Facebook are not new to me.
Here comes again an annoying application that automatically tags your friends’ walls with antivirus-like images, but it doesn’t really accomplish anything.
The application is called Facebook Antivirus. Or if you encounter misspelled words like Antivirus in Focebook or F’acebook Antivirus – they are just the same.

F-Secure says, once installed on one friend’s account, this application tags 20 friends into a picture like the screenshots below.

This is just similar with the previously published “Who is Viewing Your Album app” and the Facebook Photas. The said Facebook Antivirus is completely fake that it doesn’t even claim to truly solve any problems- it is just misleading you as FB user.

What to do with this fake Facebook Antivirus?

Just stay calm though, this is not a virus and it won’t destroy your PC. It’s just an annoying app. If you’ve encountered this, just follow these instructions.

1. Open the photo/picture where you have been tagged.
2. Look for your name in the list of tagged FB users.
3. Click on the “Remove Tag” link beside your name. This will remove the picture from your Photos.

You can use McAfee antivirus instead for a website dedicated protection.
