Globe Telecom iPhone 4S Launch in Early December, Imminent!

Globe Telecom iPhone 4S Launch in Early December, Imminent!

Look… The other day, what appears to be Globe Telecom’s pre-order page for the iPhone 4S was inadvertently published on the public side of the telco’s web portal.

We promptly talked about it and few hours later, someone from Globe told me (via email) the page wasn’t official just yet. Not a big deal, really, ‘coz incidents like this aren’t new and that it can be manipulated just to create hype. But the way I see it from Globe, it seems the telco is readying or perhaps is already all set to launch the iPhone 4S come December. Read on for more…

The pre-order page that has been leaked the other day may not really be official, but it does work when I personally tried filling out with the information required. And in fact after hitting send, it returns a message telling me the form was submitted successfully. Since I was told the pre-order page wasn’t official yet, I didn’t expect any respond from them. But no, surprisingly — Globe did!

I got an email earlier today (and SMS as well) asking me to send the necessary documents to complete the application for the iPhone 4S. But of course I won’t be sending anything until I got a word from Globe when is the official pre-ordering for the handset. This email probably has just been sent automatically from Globe’s internal system after confirming receipt from the “unofficial” pre-order form. But I believe Globe has been testing that system, working as expected, and the telco maybe launching the iPhone 4S sometime in the first or second week of December.

There’s nothing in the email that says it’s auto-generated, but I’m convinced it is. No pricing details from the content, just the required documents. You may read it below.
