With the Kapuso Network launching an exclusive mobile gaming app for the fifth season of their Kapuso Milyonaryo Level Up Panalo digital promo available for both iOS and Android devices, GMA 7 is making it easier for everyone to win tax-free prizes. Read out our review of the game after the break.
For starters, the Kapuso Milyonaryo Level Up Panalo game app is loaded with ad placements of the promo’s sponsors in a format of an endless running game.
To be able to actually play the app, you first need to register to the promo by providing your basic info: your Name, Address, Contact details and e-mail address. The app explains that these information are needed for verification purposes if in case you win a prize. After sending in your registration details, you’ll receive an e-mail for the confirmation code, which you’d need to activate your account.
Playing the game reminds us of the more famous and mainstream endless running apps like Temple Run, Subway Surfer, Minion Rush and even the Chucky Game. The game’s objective is pretty much basic: you’re a shopper running inside the grocery named Tobz, collecting GMA and sponsor coupons while avoiding different obstacles such as push carts, banana peels and boxes.
The Sponsor coupons you collect as you run serves as digital entries for the draw, so the more coupons you collect, the more chances you get on winning the game’s prizes which include MyPhone cellphones, Php 3,000 daily and a Php 300,000 grand prize.
Unlike Temple Run or other endless running games, you have unlimited lives. But with the Kapuso Milyonaryo game, you only have 7 lives initially. Once you run out of lives, all you need to do is either doing FaceBook status share regarding the game, or by watching videos. These videos are actually commercials of the games sponsors. Each video you get to watch corresponds to 1 game life.
As much as the game’s objective is pretty much simple, don’t get your hopes up as the app’s interface and smoothness isn’t anywhere near the games mentioned above. There are response delays and lags throughout the game, even on my iPhone 5S. So don’t expect that you’ll get hooked to the game as much as you did for Temple Run. The highest score I got was just around 7 digital entries, even after about more than 15 game tries.
It’s a good thing that the game can be played even without internet access, but submitting digital entries requires an active internet connection. Sending of entries can be done until July 27, 2014–more than a month from today.
