HP TouchPad, first unveiled back in February, will be available in the US on July 1 and in the UK, Ireland, France, and Germany a few days later of US launched. The tablet will make its way to Canada in mid-July; and in Italy, Spain, Australia, HongKong, New Zealand, Singapore, and other countries in the Asia-Pacific region later this year. So expect to see the TouchPad reaching the Philippines soil come Q4, probably late November or early December at the latest.
HP will make available the Wi-Fi version of TouchPad first with a price tag of USD 499.99 and USD 599.99 for the 16GB and 32GB models, respectively. The 3G version of the tablet will follow later this summer in the US, with AT&T as the official carrier. HP is still yet to announce pricing details of the 3G version of the slate.
Pre-orders of HP TouchPad in North America and Europe will begin June 19.
HP TouchPad is the first tablet to run webOS, powered by a 1.2 GHz Qualcomm dual-core processor. Flaunting a 9.7-inch XGA capacitive display, the TouchPad features a front-facing camera (no rear camera on this tablet, folks), 1GB RAM, and among others.
