Huawei just announced a new device, the Ascend P6 S, without all the big press launch. It’s a clear refresh of last year’s very thin and sexy Ascend P6, with few spec bumps and upgrades. Catch the details after the break!
Sporting a body similar to last year’s Ascend P6, the S version is slightly thicker at 6.5mm (0.3 mm thicker). As for the specs, you’d still get the same 4.7 inch (720 x 1280 pixels) 720p IPS+ LCD screen, 2 GB of RAM, 16 GB of internal storage, 8 megapixel main camera with LED flash, 5 megapixel front camera and a 2000 mAh battery. The processor is a different story, as the Ascend P6 S comes with a slightly faster 1.6GHz quad core processor. Sadly, there’s still no LTE support here.
Priced at (CNY) ¥ 2688 ($446/under Php20k), the new Huawei Ascend P6 S ships with Android JellyBean 4.2 with Emotion UI 2.0 and dual sim/dual stand-by support. Now available through China’s Vmall for China Unicom. No word yet if this handset will land in the Philippines soon. [via]
