Introducing RIM’s New BlackBerry Bold 9780

Research in Motion (RIM) announced yesterday another member of the BlackBerry Bold smartphones – the BlackBerry Bold 9780.

In a press release:

“We are very excited to introduce the BlackBerry Bold 9780 featuring the new BlackBerry 6 operating system,” said Carlo Chiarello, Vice President, Product Management at Research In Motion. “This new model builds on the highly refined mobile experience that BlackBerry Bold users already know and love and delivers a wide range of enhancements including a rich new user interface, a fast and powerful WebKit-based browser, broadly improved communications and multimedia capabilities, an incredibly useful Universal Search feature and a high quality 5MP camera.”

BlackBerry Bold 9780 is the first in the Bold-series to run on BlackBerry 6 operating system. Powered by 624-MHz processor, this smart phone also supports 3G wireless connectivity, has 2.4 inch 400 x 360 resolution display, a 5 MP camera with image stabilization, autofocus, flash, and 2x zooming. This phone also features Bluetooth support and the built-in GPS and Wi-Fi. It comes pre-loaded with 512 MB flash memory which can be upgraded up to 32GB.
