It’s official! The New iPad (iPad 3) will land in the Philippines on May 29th according to Apple’s website. That’s just 10 days to go starting today, so those who have been waiting and prepping hefty bucks for this slate may finally shell it out at your favorite store on the said date.
The New iPad (or could we just call it iPad 3?) will be available at the Apple Online Store of course, as well in premium and authorized Apple Resellers across the country. Globe Telecom will also have it; the Apple website, however, didn’t include Smart Communications on the list.
There’s no official price schedule just yet, but it’s already a bit safe to say it will have just the same price tag as the iPad 3’s predecessors. Our initial price guesstimate for the iPad 3 follows:
16GB WiFi – Php 23, 990
32GB WiFi – Php 28, 990
64GB WiFi – Php 33, 990
16GB WiFi + 4G – Php 30, 990
32GB WiFi + 4G – Php 35, 990
64GB WiFi + 4G – Php 40, 990
In case you missed it, The New iPad is Apple’s 3rd generation tablet featuring a 9.7-inch Retina Display, Apple A5X chipset with quad-core graphics, 5MP iSight Camera capable of 1080p full HD video recording, and a VGA front-facing camera for Facetime. The New iPad supports both HSPA+ and LTE network technologies – the LTE connectivity however, is still debatable whether it will work with SMART’s LTE network or not.
Again, you mark the calendar – it’s on May 29th, Tuesday!
