Just in case you missed it, Apple’s latest slates, the iPad Air and iPad Mini with Retina Display, are now available in the country since early this week. I won’t bore you with the specs sheet of both iPad Air and iPad Mini with Retina Display, but in any case you still want to take glimpse on the difference inside and out of these new tablets from Apple, just head over to this very comprehensive comparison chart.

Where to Buy

The two iPad devices, Air and Mini with Retina Display, are available on Apple PH Online Store. All variants of each latest model are available for purchase, that is —  Wi-Fi Only and Wi-Fi + Cellular — this time though with the inclusion of a gigantic 128GB storage, on top of the usual 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB. Of course, prices vary depending on storage size — so choose which one fits your needs, be it for business or just for pleasure. 🙂

The new iPads are also available for purchase from Globe Telecom through its online store and 150 concept store and shops across the country. Globe offers the 16GB iPad Air at P22,200, the 32GB at P25,990, and the 64GB at P30.990 — all in a 24-month contract with unlimited LTE surfing. The iPad Mini 16GB on the other hand is offered at P18,000, the 32GB at P22,990, and the 64GB at P27,990 — also all in a 24-month contract with unlimited LTE surfing.

Don’t like yourself being hooked up to UnliSurf? See other offers below. Or better yet, head to Globe’s product pages here and here.

With Smart, only the 16GB and 32GB variants are available, which does make sense particularly for users who are into cloud storage. Personally, I would really opt to using 16GB variant only and leverage iCloud, Skydrive, Google Drive, and Dropbox for storing my stuff. Anyhow, you always have the choice for Smart’s price offers of the new iPads — with the 16GB iPad Mini with Retina Display at P1,499 per month on a 24-month contract plus a one-time fee of P1,000, or the 32GB iPad Mini with Retina Display at P1,699 per month, also on a 24-month contract plus a P1,000 one-time fee.

Smart iPad Air, iPad Mini Retina Display

Smart offers the iPad Air with the same monthly payments as with the iPad Mini with Retina Display variants—also on a 24-month contract. The only difference is the one-time fee of P5,000 upon signing up with Smart’s plan offers. The new iPads are available in Smart’s more than 95 stores nationwide.

Buyers can also opt to make their purchases from Apple Premium Resellers and online retailers such as Lazada.
