It’s not the iPed, neither the Shenzhen P88. It’s time for iPad to conquer China. Apple announced Monday that the Wi-Fi models of its magical iPad will be available to customers in China this Friday, September 17th at exactly 10AM.
Customers in China can get their iPad of choice from Apple Retail Stores, and select Apple Authorized Resellers who will also offer a free Personal Setup service to every customer who buys an iPad. If you are one of those who don’t want to miss this gadget, you can check out first the iPad features before buying.
Retail prices of iPad Wi-Fi models in China will start at CNY3988 for 16GB, and CNY4788 and CNY5588 for 32GB and 64GB, respectively.
Apple didn’t mention the release of Wi-Fi with 3G models, perhaps it will be released whenever the official carrier (probably China Unicom) and Apple finish their negotiation.
iPad will be rolled out to other countries later this year and Apple said that the availability and local pricing for these additional countries will be announced at a later date. Probably, that will include the Philippines. Just stay tuned for more updates!
