It’s only 3 weeks since Apple held a press-con regarding the iPhone 4 antenna issue which was the sole reason why Consumer Reports said “NO” to iPhone 4.
But it appears a new rumor is buzzing the web about the new iPhone 5 to be released as early as January 2011. Not only that. iLounge hinted us more about the iPad Mini, 3 new iPods, and less expensive all-silicone Bumper.
Let’s jump into the details of each:
iPhone 5 – I’m not sure how reliable the source is, but the word is Apple is pushing up the release of the 5th generation iPhone as early as January 2011 because of the antenna issues on iPhone 4.
“It’s unknown whether this will be a repackaging of iPhone 4 components in a different shell or something more substantial.”
iPad Mini – We liked iPad. It’s one of the great iDevices ever. But a new 7-inch screen version is something we would like to see and experience more later this year or early 2011.
“Apple has been prototyping devices with screens of this size for a long time—quite possibly predating the original iPhone.”
New iPods – According to iLounge, Apple is apparently has three new iPods ready to go as early as this month, or as late as September. One is the new iPod Nano, the other one is new iPod touch, and the third one is a question mark, but may be a small (1.7”) touchscreen replacement for the iPod shuffle. Let’s see…
iPhone 4 New Bumpers – We all know about the current iPhone 4 Case Program. Apple is said to working currently on a cheaper all-silicone version of the bumper case to give away after September.
“Our source says that the original, unreleased version of Bumper had more hard plastic than the final version, and claims that Apple was considering giving Bumpers away with every iPhone 4 before deciding to take its chances with the bare device.”
So, that’s it! Again, these stuffs are just rumors. I’ll just let you know if these are really true or not. Stay tuned!
