Samsung isn’t the only Korean company to date that the eyes of the public are on to with high end smartphone releases as new details on the upcoming LG Optimus G Pro 2 surfaced today, rumored to be looking at a release next month at the Barcelona 2014 MWC. More details below.
Don’t get us wrong, as the photo above is the current LG Optimus G Pro. But, the upcoming successor to the G Pro is said to sport a whooping 6 inch 1080p display with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor and 3 GB of RAM. The G Pro 2 is also said to ship with Android KitKat 4.4 out of the box, and will come in LTE and LTE-A variants.
Some might say that a 1080p resolution instead of a QHD (1440 x 2560 pixels) on a 6 incher device might be a deal breaker, but it may be a strategic move for LG, as they wouldn’t want the Optimus G Pro 2 phablet to steal the scene from the upcoming LG G3 flagship coming shortly a few months after.
