Back in 2007, I bought my first China phone featuring dual-SIM support. But because I was afraid it didn’t undergo FCC certification for SAR rating, I decided not to use it anymore and gave it to someone else.
What I liked on that kind of phone is the capability to switch between two numbers and carriers. When triple-SIM phones came out after then, it didn’t attract my attention until another one popped up – the OTECH F1.

OTECH F1 is not just a dual-SIM, neither triple-SIM mobile phone. It’s capable of holding four (4) SIM cards all active, hence it’s a quad-SIM phone! That means, here in the Philippines at least, you can use Smart, Globe, Sun Cellular, and Touch Mobile simultaneously; and switch to each carrier whenever you like. It appears incredibly silly, isn’t it? Aside from that, this China phone packs a full QWERTY keyboard, a 2.4-inch touch screen, mobile TV support, FM radio tuner, Bluetooth support, and 12MP camera.

This quad-SIM phone is said to be available on some parts of Asia, so I guess we can find this toy here in the Philippines soon. I’m just wondering if someone will really buy this stuff. I’m afraid it might melt user’s brain the first time they make a call! What ‘ya think?
