NetSuite as Key Player in Cloud Computing
According to the research conducted by Gartner Dataquest in 2008 (Market Share: ERP Software, North America), NetSuite is the fastest growing Financial Management System vendor in North America with majority worldwide market share for ERP Software solutions- outpacing other players from Gartner’s top 10 list including Lawson, Epicor, Oracle, Exact, Infor, Deltek, Microsoft, SAP, and Sage.
NetSuite is a vendor of on-demand Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) for mid-market enterprises and divisions of large companies. With SaaS, the customers will only subscribe to the application(s) built and designed by NetSuite. That means that customers won’t have a problem creating middleware, upgrading hardware, maintaining databases, and integrating new applications to typical system or on-premise ERP solutions- thus reducing operation costs and improving productivity. In 2008, NetSuite launched NetSuite OneWorld in the US, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Japan.

Cebu to Welcome NetSuite
In an exclusive interview with NetSuite’s CEO, Zach Nelson revealed the company’s plan to the Cebu market. Being an export-oriented region in the southern part of the Philippines, Nelson believes that the manufacturing and BPO industries in Cebu would be a strong market for NetSuite. He also pointed out that there might be a change in terms of how BPO is done, and that “change” is driven by the “cloud”.
