Nexus S Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich Update Rolling Out!

Nexus S Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich Update Rolling Out!

Google’s Android team has just confirmed on Friday that it has already started rolling out Android 4.0 or Ice Cream Sandwich update to GSM/UMTS-based Nexus S handsets.

This update is available over-the-air (OTA) and as usual the roll out schedule varies in every country. Google didn’t reveal which countries first will get this tasty update and I’m personally skeptical if it would reach the Philippines this month. Google said though that Nexus S devices will have the Ice Cream Sandwich “over the coming month” (that’s singular!) so I guess the soonest everyone will get it would be some time in January.

Google Nexus S users out there do let us know once you received the update as we’d love to hear about that. And oh, these tips and shortcuts would definitely help you get started with Android 4.0 so make sure to check that link!

Update: Google Nexus S users here in the Philippines can already download ICS OTA. Thanks for the tip, Ian!
