Nokia disclosed recently its newest smartphone models and innovations at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. Special highlights were Nokia Lumia 720, Nokia Lumia 520, Nokia 105, and Nokia 301, plus new feature innovations on HERE maps, imaging, navigation, and entertainment. Together with Microsoft, Nokia refocuses marketing efforts to draw more of its business clientele to Windows Phone.

Nokia Lumia 720

In the limelight was the introduction of Nokia Lumia 720 with its high-end features made available to more of Nokia’s crowd, everything at mid-range price. That’s no less than features the smartphone world today goes agog over—high-end camera, navigation, music, etc —with the special social experience afforded by Windows Phone 8.

Nokia Lumia 720

The Nokia Lumia 720 cam came into focus, with its wide f/1.9 aperture combined with the Carl Zeiss optics exclusive to the gadget, delivering clear and bright images regardless of the time of day. Crowd picture shots are made extra quality with the wide-angle, 1.3 megapixel, front-facing camera—and there’s even the video calling feature to add more fun. Image enhancements are made better for stunning results and easy sharing, and that includes the Cinemagraph, Glam Me, and Smart Shoot.

HERE apps in Nokia Lumia 720 make tours and travels more exciting and precise with HERE Maps, Drive, and Transit (HERE features would soon be applicable to non-Nokia Windows Phone gadgets in select markets). HERE comes with the exciting LiveSight and Place Tag that make navigation more informative, accurate, and detailed. Place Tag enables more interesting shared photos. Nokia music, on the other hand, provides limitless music selection and streaming (no subscription or advert charges), and even a download spree of select playlists. NFC connectivity makes music streaming from Nokia Lumia 720 to other NFC gadgets quick and easy.

The Nokia Lumia 720 body shell has 5 available colors, all stylish and sleek, characterized by its acclaimed unibody signature design. So, how much would the Nokia Lumia 720 cost? Initially, about EUR 249, exclusive of taxes and subsidies, and it might be out in the first quarter of 2013 in Hongkong, Singapore, and Vietnam, while out in the second quarter in China and some parts of Asia, Europe, India, and Africa.

Nokia Lumia 520

If Nokia Lumia 720 is high-end yet made affordable handset, the Nokia Lumia 520 is high-end Nokia Windows Phone made “most affordable.” The digital cam lens quality of Nokia Lumia 920 is the very same thing used on 520. Add to that the usual Nokia music and HERE location suite features and you really have a good buy. The 4-inch touch enabled screen is more responsive, affording a more immersive content.

Nokia Lumia 520 is also available in 5 dazzling colors and is likely priced at EUR 139, exclusive of taxes and subsidies. Initially offered in Vietnam and Hongkong early in 2013, it would soon be available also in India, China, Asia, Europe, Latin America, and Africa later in the year. In the US, it is deemed to roll out with T-Mobile.

Nokia 105 and Nokia 301

The last two Nokia phones introduced at the Mobile World Congress—Nokia 105 and 301—are all intended for more affordable Nokia phone enjoyment, especially Nokia 301’s fast and easy inexpensive Internet and email connections. You also get the usual Nokia Lumia camera quality features.

Specifically, Nokia 105 offers clear and bright screen quality with equally clear menus and phone convenience basics like multiple and speaking alarm clocks, FM radio, dust-and-splash-proofing, a dependable flashlight, and pillowed keypad. It has a 35-day battery life. Available in cyan and bold black, it’s likely priced at EUR 15 or around less than P1,000 here in Pinas exclusive of taxes and fees. The cheapest phone from Nokia I guess.

Nokia 301 features a fast and easy 3.5G Internet connectivity plus a Nokia Xpress Browser with at most 90 percent preloaded data efficiency. It supports video streaming plus new camera technology involving the proficient Nokia Lumia cam lens. Nokia 301 comes in black, cyan, magenta, white, and yellow, it is likely priced at EUR 65.
