Micro-blogging platforms like that of Twitter is a great tool not only for businesses, but also for politicians doing their campaign.
They are able to inform their followers about what they are doing at a particular time, or even just tweet what they think the public should know.
I’ve been following Sen. Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III at his Twitter account, @noynoyaquino. A rant on his Twitter profile surprised me, thinking if he was really the one tweeted early this morning. It says:
“won’t be bringing a car to work na everyday! Stupid taxi who bumped my car! 5k down the drain!”

Rant on Noynoy Aquino’s Twitter profile (Credit: Yahoo.ph) |
After reading some news online, it was confirmed that it was just a mistweet. A member of staff mistakenly tweeted a personal rant on Sen. Noynoy Aquino’s profile. This is actually one of the risks when a politician relies much to his staff managing his social media presence. That’s actually how it goes, but I think it’s better if the staff would always try to protect and be careful of the online reputation of a candidate they are working for.
Anyway, nobody is perfect as they say.
Now let’s talk about this rant in the comment section below.
