Almost two months of waiting since the release of Skyfire for iPhone, the web browser that is used to play flash videos on iDevices now has support for iPad. Released 3 days ago, Skyfire 2.0 for iPad is now available at the App store for $4.99.
For those who just got their iPad as a Christmas present, or those who grabbed their unit when it was released here in the Philippines; the Skyfire is basically a web browser that will allow you to “indirectly” watch flash videos on your iPad – one great feature you can’t find on Apple’s built-in Safari browser. Though there are some limitations on this app, like its inability to play all Flash contents on all websites, Skyfire for iPad is still the best available solution to date as far as playing Flash videos on iDevices is concerned. What else you will get is its integration with social features that will allow you to stay and experience the whole fun on the web.

One problem I want to point out with this app is the fact that you would have to purchase it as a separate download, on top of your iPhone or iPod Touch version. It’s redundant, if you don’t mind. What do you think?
