RockMelt, a Social Media Browser; Reserve your spot to download and install!

They called it a Facebook browser. Some called it a Twitter browser. Well, why not call it a Social Media web browser? It sounds good, mind you.

RockMelt UI

RockMelt basically is a web browser designed for how you use the internet. It allows users to post links, videos, and status updates to Facebook and Twitter (at least for now, more services soon), and it has built-in client services to manage feeds and chats, among other features. See how it looks like from the video below.

This browser is based on Chromium, the open source project behind Google’s Chrome browser, which in turn is based on WebKit, the open source HTML layout engine used by Apple, as well as a host of other projects from Mozilla.

Rockmelt is being released as a limited public beta and those who are interested to join the hype need to sign up for an early access. Once you reserved your spot, you are one among those first in line to download and install this social media web browser. [via]
