Samsung has officially launched the GALAXY Tab 7.7 here in the Philippines. The tablet will retail in local stores at Php 32,990 for the 32GB version, a bit higher than GALAXY Tab 8.9 at launch. Price for the 16GB version isn’t clear just yet, but I believe it’s around Php 27,990 given the fact that GALAXY Tab 8.9 16GB version was priced at Php 27,490 when it was launched in the country.
It’s quite obvious why the GALAXY Tab 7.7 got a more expensive price tag even when compared to another yet 7-incher slate, the Samsung GALAXY Tab 7.0 Plus – simply because the GALAXY Tab 7.7 got a more elegant design on top of its internals like the blazingly faster 1.4GHz 2-core CPU inside the Exynos chipset and the chic Super AMOLED Plus display.
Though the Samsung GALAXY Tab 7.7 will carry Android Honeycomb, the company promised an Ice Cream Sandwich update anytime soon. Hmmm!
