The clock is ticking and in more or less 32 hours after this article is published, the 2012 Olympics in London will kick off the opening ceremony. I believe you’re all excited for your favourite athletes and so do I. But what’s more exciting if you’re a BlackBerry user who wanted to feel the Olympic spirit right in your handset? The Angry Birds Are Heading to Space!

After conquering the biggest social network in the planet, the next franchise of Rovio’s popular puzzle game Angry Birds will kick off comes March 22nd; and because it’s almost everywhere, the Finnish game developer will bring it somewhere you’ve never imagined – the outer space!

What’s exactly new on this version of the game dubbed as Angry Birds Space is obviously the outer space as its gameplay setting, with the new physics involved in which the birds will contend “with zero gravity, leading to new gameplay elements like slow-motion puzzles and “lightspeed” destruction”. Social Networking and Messenger Apps Dominated Nokia Philippines Top Apps of 2011

I’m personally not surprised. The Philippines was once named as the “Social Networking Capital of the World”, and the country being a “Nokia nation” – that would explain why social networking and messenger apps topped the list of popular applications downloaded from the Nokia Store in 2011. In addition to that, not only for a reason that most of these types of apps are free; but because Filipinos can leverage the services built to such apps and are perfect solutions to stay connected through the internet with the people they care most.
