Source confirms the Samsung Galaxy S5 to feature a fingerprint home button reader!

The Samsung Galaxy S5 is probably the currently most talked about and most hyped upcoming device, with all the number of rumors and leaks of specs and features by different sources and analysts. With just less than a week before the Unpacked5 event by Samsung during the first day of the Mobile World Congress 2014 in Barcelona, Spain, a source confirms one feature that is greatly expected of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy flagship.


As confirmed by SamMobile, the upcoming successor to the Galaxy S4 is pulling an iPhone 5S by including a fingerprint reader in the device’s home button. Previously, word has it that the Galaxy S5 will sport an Iris-scanner in answer to Apple’s TouchID, but the idea was later dropped due to impracticality. It was later on said that Samsung instead opted for a fingerprint scanning feature embedded in the screen. (more…)

Nokia teases everyone for the Android powered Nokia X for the MWC 2014

Just less than a week away from the 2014 Mobile World Congress happening in Barcelona, Spain, participating smartphone makers has already started sending out invites and teasers for the devices they will showcase during the said annual event. Nokia is no stranger to this, as they are expected to unveil a number of devices, including the much talked about Nokia X aka Normandy, the company’s first Android-powered device.

The Finnish company sent out their first invite (pictured above) as early as late January featuring a nature-esque theme. They then outed a series of photos through their Weibo account of what seems to be leading to a treasure map of what seems to be a hint for the Nokia X A110.

HTC to Announce something big on March 25, possibly the HTC M8?

In previous post we did a couple of weeks back, we wrote about @evleaks sending a tweet about the Taiwan-based smartphone maker HTC to announce the HTC One’s successor by the end of March in NYC. It turns out that @evleaks is true about the HTC event, after all. Catch the details after the break.

In a tweet sent in by HTC UK (@HTC_UK), the company is indeed holding an event come March 25. Although there’s no official word on the agenda of the event, rumor has it that HTC is finally unveiling the HTC One’s successor, codenamed M8.
