Like Vista, Windows 7 has many cool gadgets, and the sticky notes are one of the more useful.
The sticky notes can be used with a text and ink inputs and can be configured with different colors.
You can use sticky notes to make little notes for yourself on your desktop.
To open Sticky Notes, simply go to the Accessories group of the program files. You can also open Sticky Notes by typing %windir%\system32\StikyNot.exe on the Run textbox.
When using Sticky Notes, you can create additional notes by clicking the plus sign (+) at the top-left of an existing note. To change the color of the note, simply right-click the note and select the color you like. The Sticky Note can also be resized.
What are the keyboard shortcuts for sticky notes?
You can also modify the text appearance of the notes using different keyboard shorcuts like the one we often use with MS Office Apps. You can toggle the notes to appear Bold by using Ctrl + B, Italic by using Ctrl + I, Strikethrough by using Ctrl + T, and Underline by using Ctrl + U. Pressing Ctrl + Shift + <> will decrease or increase the font size, respectively.
