Top 100 Infected, Dirtiest, and Most Dangerous Web Sites

Norton Safe Web revealed the Top 100 Infected, Dirtiest, and Dangerous Web Sites in the cyber-world based on number of threats detected as of August 2009.

Analyzing these malicious websites through Norton Safe Web algorithm – signature-based file scanning, intrusion detection engines, behavioral detection and install/uninstall analysis to identify security risks including phishing sites, malicious downloads, browser exploits and links to unsafe external sites- identified these sites as “DIRTY” websites as most features adult contents. However, some dirtiest websites uses the full range of subjects such as legal services, and buying electronics.

Norton says the top 100 sites averaged about 18,000 threats with 40 containing more than 20,000 threats. More or less 75 websites were found to be installing malware on other system for more than six months, with over 50 of the websites containing hard-core pornography!

  2. If you visit these websites, there's a great chance for your PC of getting infected. I haven't visited this site since there's a lot of them and I don't much have time on individually visiting them. All I know is they are malicious sites…
