Some iPhone users in the US are not satisfied with the AT&T wireless service and are a bit excited about the next generation iPhone to be released under Verizon Wireless service.
In a Wall Street Journal report, it is said that the new iPhone will be called iPhone HD and it’s coming on Tuesday, June 22nd this year.
The people briefed on the matter said one of the new iPhones is being manufactured by Taiwanese contract manufacturer Hon Hai Precision Industry Co., which produced Apple’s previous iPhones. The model that has CDMA capability, used by Verizon Wireless, is being manufactured by Pegatron Technology Corp., the contract manufacturing subsidiary of Taiwan’s ASUSTeK Computer Inc., said these people.
One person familiar with the situation said Pegatron is scheduled to start mass producing the CDMA iPhones in September, but it was unclear when Apple might make the model available.
iPhone HD Specs
This is not yet official though, but rumors about the specs and features of this new iPhone includes an A4 SoC processor running at 1GHz (the same as the iPad), a bit bigger than the current iPhone 3GS, and a front-facing camera. I’ll just make an update about this once Apple unveils the new product.
