I saw this new app being featured in CNN the other day so I thought of giving it a shot. The app is called Voxer and it turns Android handsets and iOS devices like the iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad into a Walkie Talkie.
Voxer Walkie Talkie allows you to “send instant Audio, Text, Photo and Location messages to one friend or a group of your friends”. It’s a cross-platform app, meaning Android users can send messages to other friends using either an iPhone, iPod Touch, or iPad, and vice versa.
I’ve been using the app since yesterday and I found it really cool. The UI is simple and intuitive, though some users are reporting the app got intrusive ads and automatically adds random people to the list of friends. With the latest version however, it seems these bugs have already been fixed. Voxer Walkie Talkie is free to download and you just need Wi-Fi or 3G/EDGE/GPRS connection for it to work.
If you want to give it a try, you can get it from here (iOS) and here (Android).
Wow.. Nice apps bro! We’ll definitely try this and introduce to my colleague at work.. 😀
Thanks bro! Appreciate it a lot! 🙂
