The Facebook Movie titled as “The Social Network” will be on production starting next month.
I thought this is another hoax at first, not until I browsed the web and found out the reality!
Yes, it’s true. Aaron Benjamin Sorkin, an American screenwriter, producer and playwright- agreed to write a movie for Sony and producer Scott Rudin about how Facebook was invented. Aaron Sorkin’s works include A Few Good Men, The American President, The West Wing, Sports Night, and The Farnsworth Invention.
The “Social Network” Facebook movie will be directed by David Fincher. The story is based on the book “The Accidental Billionaires” which unveils the beginning days of Facebook. Mark Zuckerberg, the 25 year old CEO of Facebook, is said to be played by Jesse Eisenberg who also took the role as James Brennan on Adventureland and Columbus on Zombieland. Andrew Garfield, who played as Eddie Dunford on Red Riding, will play one of Facebook’s co-founders, Eduardo Saverin. However, Justin Timberlake will be casting as Sean Parker- who is the co-founder of the free file-sharing service for music (know as Napster) and turned to be Facebook President.
I made further research about this proposed social network movie, and found the Shadow Script blog is unveiling some developments of the Facebook Movie. It is interesting that Aaron Sorkin -who was commissioned by Sony and Scott Rudin- has almost no knowledge about Facebook! He even admitted it on his “Aaron Sorkin and The Facebook Movie” Facebook group page that he don’t know how Facebook works at first. I don’t think Aaron Sorkin is a computer ignorant. Once this project is done, Aaron Sorkin will mark another history. He then wrote the first social network movie!
Since there’s no specified date when the “The Social Network” movie be on theaters, let’s just wait – sooner or later we can watch the Facebook movie. Keep updated by subscribing either by E-mail or by RSS Feeds. Follow me also on Twitter.
