WD Elements Play, a Multimedia Drive Storing 2TB and Plays Media in Full-HD 1080P

Western Digital introduced a new multimedia drive, the WD Elements Play, which is capable of storing up to two Terabytes of digital videos, photos, and music for playback.
WD Elements Play is a media player with built-in hard drive designed to play multimedia or movies in full-HD 1080P on home TV with composite video or HDMI connections.

WD Elements Play could be the solution to the consumer demands for storage of the increasing amount of digital contents.

“Consumers manage their growing media collections in many different ways,” said Dale Pistilli, vice president of marketing of WD’s Branded Products group. “WD is providing an increasing range of devices that assist people with saving, protecting and enjoying their personal digital content. With over two terabytes of capacity and the ability to connect to HDTVs, WD Elements Play multimedia drive consolidates these functions in one device, making it easier than ever for consumers to experience their entertainment on their best equipment.”

This multimedia drive is an all-in-one capacity player capable of playing variety of file formats, including RMVB. It comes in 1TB and 2TB and is priced in the Philippines for Php 7,950 and Php 9,700 respectively. Both are covered with a 3-year warranty. [via PR]
